The Creeks Lock Cottage

Creek Locks Cottage, nestled in Rosendale, NY, began as a post-and-beam barn and was thoughtfully reimagined as an ode to the American farm cottage. The renovation focused on proportion, light, and quiet architectural gestures — from the reworked kitchen and wrap-around deck to a mudroom addition with a gabled roof and Dutch door that feels as though it has always been there. Inside, shiplap walls, pine floors, exposed beams, and divided-light windows set a timeless stage. Against a soft wash of warm white, vintage rugs, timeworn furnishings, and collected artwork unfold room by room, each piece adding to the narrative rather than competing for attention. It feels storied and settled — layered, welcoming, and made for real life.
