The Modern Farmhouse

Set along a quiet country road in Kerhonkson, NY, with expansive mountain views, this modern farmhouse was furnished as an upstate escape from city life. With its pale wood ceilings, dark floors, and clean-lined architecture already in place, our role was to introduce warmth and personality in a way that enhances the home’s strong architectural backdrop. Natural textures, sculptural lighting, and relaxed upholstery soften the structure, while playful artwork, vibrant accents, and collected objects add contrast and dimension. Expansive windows dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, allowing the surrounding landscape to anchor each room. The result is a contemporary retreat that feels playful, polished, and full of character.
